Julien received his first camera at 10 years old and began shooting his skateboarders friends. At 16 he moved to Kurdistan and realize his first personal photo report that will be exhibited in Brussels. After studying the photography at INRACI and have assisted several photographers, he began his career as a freelance fashion photographer for Belgian women’s magazines. Following an intense and personal meeting with the Grand Master Ringu Tulku Rinpoche, Julien moved to India in Dharamsala. This is the beginning of a journey that will lead him from Rishikesh to Calcutta and then travel in Thailand exploring all neighboring countries. He first moved to Chiang Mai and Bangkok where he settled and will be represented by the photographers’s agent Chamni Eyes. Three years later he returned to Brussels and shared his time between Belgium and Thailand. He worked for Elle (be and th.), Marie Claire (be and th.), Paris-Match, Cleo, Y&R, Hello!, Nokia th., Pepsi th., Sncb, Snapstore, Caméléon, Vente Exclusive, La Redoute, Trends, Sensa, Paris-XL, BMW mag., Condenast travel. He started filming and already has made a film for the European Commission on the sustainable development FLEGT project in Indonesia, a Brussels city promotion film, about the canal area, which has been selected to be shown on big screen in the city, and now he is preparing a film about life in the Thai countryside.
